Things I'm thankful for

Here's a somewhat random list of things I am thankful for at this moment:
  • My family
  • My friends
  • God loving me even though I'm not all that I should be.
  • Enjoying learning about how multiplexing and demultiplexing work in Digital Electronics.
  • Clean fresh water whenever I want it.
  • Hope
  • Being able to do programming for my Networks and Data Communication class.
  • My parents and youngest sister visiting tomorrow.
  • Two laundry machines being available when I went to wash clothes today (a guy I met in there said he had to wait an hour)
  • Good food.
  • Forgiveness.
I need to remember that I don't deserve any of this and that it is only because of God's grace that I have it.

Renewing Your Mind - Attitude Check

Highly recommended reading: The Life-Long Journey: Renewing Your Mind - Attitude Check (written by my sister Lydia)
Recently, I have realized the effects of attitude on life. When a person embraces a good attitude about their life, their existence, their future, their past, and their present circumstances, they don't find it too difficult to have joy in the present - even if their circumstances are difficult and challengning. On the other hand, if a person has a sour attitude about their life and they let that influence their attitude about their past, their present purpose, and their future hopes, it is little wonder that they experience many days where they don't feel satisfied or happy....

A Brief Tour of JAARS

Here's a video that John put together. I worked with John over the summer while working at JAARS. It's a nice laid-back tour of JAARS: A Brief Tour

A good reminder

This is one of the MEMLOK verses I reviewed today:

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
 It's a good reminder.

Thanks to my sister Miriam for giving me the last paper copy of MEMLOK.

Off to work on my Eletronics I Lab report. ;)

My Sister Miriam is now Married! :)

I have arrived back from a weekend in Alabama during which I attended the wedding of my sister Miriam (her blog is "Not Her Own") to John Rajan. You can read more about it on my sister Anna's blog post: Weekend in Alabama.

I'm now unpacking and working on homework that is due tomorrow. ;)

God is good! Jesus is the source of true peace. I need to remember to not neglect my relationship with Him (I need to talk to Him as a friend).

Praise God for a good wedding and safe travel!
