~Interactive Audience Participation is really fun!
~The Boston Red Sox is not the most popular team among HSAers... (although it's still the best!)
~Daniel Gardner isn't a very pretty princess...
~Homeschoolers don't know how to make lines at meal times...
~Speed volleyball is really fun!
~You meet more people when there are 3 other members of your family there.
~You have more interesting conversations at 2:00 am then at 2:00 pm...
~Dakota has a very hard head...
So.... I had a blast at the Reunion, and absolutely can not wait to go back next year!!!
Now.... what did you all learn? ;)
...
Thomas Bombardier, 22, Vancouver, WA, ENGAGED!!!! =DI learned...
...that walking up a lot of steep hills is almost a substitute for not running for a few days!
...that it's not a good idea to fall off balconies (sorry David!)
...that Reunion sessions will ALWAYS start at least 20 minutes late
...that homeschoolers contain a larger portion of amateur photographers than the average population
...that Daniel Gardner is a hilariously good actor
...that people are almost always different in person than you expect them to be
...that most homeschoolers are very nerdy - and proud of it!
...that Kentucky is NASTY humid sometimes
...that most homeschoolers don't know how to act around a couple Shocked
...that the Spillers are very friendly and personable people
...that the only cell phone reception of any quality was in the guys' dorm parking lot
...that it's no fun to go to the Reunion with a torn ACL and miss out on all the active stuff
Yeah, it was a blast....look forward to another year when my knee is healed and I can actually rip it up with y'all in football, frisbee, and soccer! Cool

~I could be in a crowd of hundreds and not feel at all like an outsider
~People always turn out to be a little different than you expected (in a good way)
~There is no shortage of respectful, courteous young men in the HSA community
~There is no shortage of vibrant, lovely, and sweet young ladies in the HSA community
~There should be more matches between the two parties Very Happy
~Wimpy non-southerners positively wilt under the heat and humidty of KY
~That we did a lot of "hurry-up-and-wait"-ing
~The Reunion Staff had an incredible load on them, but kept it all going
~ECD is the most thrilling and enjoyable thing I've participated in
~The ladies and gents who already knew ECD could be unfailingly patient with those who had never danced a step in their lives
~Late-night gatherings in hotel lobbies are enormously entertaining
~We need to be purposeful about our future as homeschooling parents
~We need to seek out our fellowship - not just expect it to fall in our laps!
~Being an HSA'er is an incredible blessing!!!!
And....
~That there is nothing like returning to your home state, breathing the air, and seeing the rest of your family again
~Good ol' Minnesota country tap water never tasted so good
