I want to move to Cedar Rapids, Iowa

I heard the middle school and senior high pastors at New Covenant Bible Church share about their approach to youth ministry..... They have 60 to 70 adults helping out with the youth ministry....

The more I learn about New Covenant Bible Church the more I want to move to Cedar Rapids after I graduate. Even if I don't get a job at Rockwell Collins, I'd like to apply to some other place in Cedar Rapids so that I can go to New Covenant Bible Church...

It's wonderful that you've found such a good church there! I'm glad to see you're enjoying it, and that you think it may even be a place you'd like to move! Aren't you glad you decided to do this internship? =) God knows what He's doing!

Of course, I'd miss you if you lived so far away, and you would have to deal with cold, snowy winters. However, if God calls you there, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

I hadn't really considered a good church body as an important thing to consider when moving until my brother Luke brought up the importance of it.

I agree with Luke. But I was driving at the Biblical command for leadership and ministry. I am all for helping out preexisting ministries, but as a visionary leader, I also will have ministry wherever I go. I do not see people or a church as it is but as it can be.

I mean if New Covenant has church a grand plan, why won't everyone want to implement it? If I'm a leader and have clear vision, others will follow. Not to mention, I do not need a "youth ministry" in order to have a youth ministry if you know what I mean.

A church body is important. But since leadership is influence and not power or position, I bet I can be apart of the church community just about anywhere.

Come to think of it, I am sitting in a spiritually dark village at this moment, and yet I can sense the power of the church like I never have before.

I agree. I don't think that one should find the best church in the world and them move there to live the rest of your life there. However, if one is planning to save up money before heading overseas and finds a place with a good job and a very good church, I think that person should seriously consider moving there. ;)

Indeed. I don't think NCBC has some grand perfect plan that everyone needs to follow. If they do, I think they'd probably call it: The Bible.

Indeed.

God is amazingly powerful.

Elijah,

Actually I think your church *does* have youth ministry right. IMO, it is grand. But if it is true (as I think it is), I definitely think the same model can be implemented anywhere. I might be the first person to model it in some places (sadly), but hey, the world is changed one family at a time.
